The information about IIT JEE 2009 has been published by the respective IIT’s.The IIT JEE for 2009 would be held for 12th April 2009.
The JEE examination would be objective type as expected and would contain 2 papers of 3 hours each Paper-1 would be held from 9 AM to 12 noon and the Paper-2 would be held from 2 PM to 5 PM.Each paper would have separate sections for Physics,Chemistry and Mathematics and would be designed to test comprehension,reasoning and analytical ability of the candidates.
Currently the syllabus has not been made available on the IIT JEE sites,so you have to wait for a little more time.
The candidates would have the option of submitting the application form both offline and online.
This year the examination would be held for 12 IIT’s,IT-BHU Varanasi and ISMU Dhandbad.

hello sir, i am studying here in class 12at rourkela ,orissa. i had scored 97.6% in my 10th boards, i am an ntse scholar and had cleared 1st round of kvpy exam.actually i could not clear the 1st rounds of physics or chemistry olympiads and hence a bit disheartened. though i have got a state rank of 3 in rmo and will appear inmo on 18th. does these olympiad result reflects one’s performance in iit exam. as far as my fiitjee percentile matters it wavers between 91 to 98. is this enough? how can get a rank witin 100? do i concenterate more on my boards(isc) or my entrance in these ast monyhs. please help.

Sonu 270 marks in AIEEE it’s much more then enough,you would easily get a seat in NIT warangal and the books you are following are good indeed
amlan lenka the Olympiads doesn’t reflect that you wouldn’t do good in the IIT’s the Olympiads are subjective while the IIT is objective so don’t worry about it and to get a rank in top 100 your percentile should be always around 99
Manu the most important is revising the 11th syllabus and dont worry about the exams also I think Brilliant is the best as I have joined it myself.I have also seen FIITJEE’s and found it useful though the level is bit high

I want to have your views on FIITJEE FTRE 2008 for class VIII conducted on 28 December 2008. My son appeared in the FTRE 2008 and got 288 All India rank. They are offering 90% fee waiver on Tuition Fees and Books and study Material for joining four year course targeting 2013 IIT JEE exam. In this connection, I want to know how far their coaching is relevant for class VIII(going to IX) student. Is their coaching fees high comapred to others. Is it worth joining at this satge? I would like you to throw some light on these aspects which will enable me to prudent decision.

Anil sir one thing to tell I would never suggest to have your son in the studies of IIT from 9th standard itself,4 years is indeed a very large period,if the child is brilliant he could study for IIT in 11th and 12th and get a good rank in IIT,and this is simply a strategy of all the institutes to enroll the students by offering scholarships,you must first check out the teachers of the respected FIITJEE before enrolling the students,ask some of the known 12th passouts in your city,they would be knowing about the teachers well,as it depends on the instructors not on the study material which can be brought via correspondence course as well,if you have any queries then do reply back I would be happy to help

1) What is expected specific chapter for carrying maximum marks for PCM FOR THIS YEAR 2009, so thar stress can be given on practice on those chapter.
2) For seeking admission to aero-space engg what may be the expected approximate score to get for IIT 2009.
sunny first of all you can’t predict the syllabus of IIT though their is always 3 to 4 questions from the practicals in physics so go through them thoroughly,then in maths lots of questions would be their from calculus and geometry.In physics as always it’s the electromagnetism part and even some tricky good comprehension from rotational motion.In chem it’s organic chem mainly aldehydes and phenols and from the first five chapters of 12th standard.

i am a very good student in the cbse syllabus and a relatively good student in the iitjee level i study for about 5 hrs a day and solve about 20-30 questions from the fiitjee packages and tmh maths , i have the arihant physics books and i dont have any books for chemistry other than my fiitjee package .
i am good at chemistry and score about 65/89 in the fiitjee tests , in maths i have started to study hard , the problem lies in physics i get only about 20-3 in it .
am i on the right path ……

sarfraz even if you are not good in physics dont worry even if you get about 25 to 30 marks out of 89 in physics it’s alright try to do other subjects good,you should have atleast one subject in which you should get about 140 out of 175 in second get about 100 and in physics even 55 would be good,and also try to make the concepts,read the theory for IIT,don’t just cramp things try to understand each and everything,you have plenty of time left

sarfraz you should solve about 50 to 60 questions if you are studying for IIT JEE
gauri if you think that you cannot get a rank in IIT then don’t go for it,study for AIEEE,the colleges in AIEEE are not bad even.For the books for IIT I would prefer saying TMH for maths,P. Bahadur and NCERT for Chem and D.Mukhergee,H.C. Verma and TMH for physics

1) Will be same type of question this year as beeing followed earlier or any changes will be ther.
2) What will be the total marks for conducting iitjee2009 exam.
3) What may be approx qualifying marks for seeking admission to iitjee 2009 in any of core engg branch ie(mech, elect, chemical.aero-space, civil)

Amit dont ask about the minimum it’s around 4 to 5 marks in each subject and you can’t predict what would come in IIT you have to be prepared for everything and the compendium would be fine
