Admission to first semester of B.E. and B.Arch. courses for the session 2009-2010 in six colleges/institutes/departments i.e.
- University Institute of Engineering & Technology (UIET), Panjab University, Chandigarh
- University Institute of Chemical Engineering & Technology (UICET) (formerly Deptt. of Chemical Engg. & Tech.), Panjab University, Chandigarh
- Swami Sarvanand Giri P.U. Regional Center (SSGPURC), Bajwara, Hoshiarpur
- PEC University of Technology, Chandigarh (formerly Punjab Engineering College, Chandigarh)
- Chandigarh College of Engineering & Technology (CCET), Chandigarh
- Chandigarh College of Architecture (CCA), Chandigarh

big question of ece stream ,most of the expert
said that electronic have a entry path in cse. as we all of them are know very well, THE INDIAN industries have very poor infrastructure. we fully depend in hardware on china.Even our govt also fail in electronic research depth education facilities provider.ankur manfacturing,R&D,new products and many other activity required to provide jobs new engineer

neha..it depends…do you have chd. quota? and on second thoughts ccet is not better than uiet..but its still good..and u can probably get cse or ece in second counselling or third…rest we’ll discuss when we meet in ccet..hehe kidding..m also lukin for ece there…yiu can check lst year admission info on thier site..

keshav ..can’t say about cse…but u can get eee n mech or it inuiet in 2nd or third..and u can get nything in ccet…and richa wats your rank…

richa if u have filled pu forms and u have got the acknowledgment card …then u can apear in 2nd counselling……..
thanx shahid.. ya i had filled dis form for Rs350 which we had to submit.. but as u said an acknowlegment card?? i havent recived any form like dis..?? plz can u tell about dis..??
and see.. in d last years cutoff d closing rank ws as high upto 1,99,000 …SO WS JST CONFUSED DAT WILL I GET INTO IT. ND IF I CAN DEN WEN IS D COUSELLING… wel my rank is 1,73,484 in eee

richa ,first counselling already happened…don’t u have the brochure which contained those forms…second counselling is starting from 31 upto 2 august…acknowledgment card is the receipt that they have received your form…and yea you can get hoshiarpur regional centre of p.u…but you should not take it for granted…people are becoming aware about thAT Centre…it’s just that that centre is new and in absurd location..thats why peole do not opt it..u shud have even tried ptu and haryana counsellings

anupama obviously bits goa is much better than uiet and electronics n instrumentation is great branch…you can probably google it..bits goa will be one of the best institutions till the time u’ll pass out…best of luck..choose wisely

it’s like i was shocked to see how the 1st coun. went. man, it’s like uiet closed on 26,000.
and i seriously was hoping to get atleast biotech. in 1st.
and now, i seriously don’t kno how other counselling would be like.

Hey keshav … buddy i went for the 1st councelling … my rank is 79,552 AIR .. and as usual all the seats for general category were already filled .. i live in DELHI so i come under all india quota .. that too of general category .. now i have my 2nd councelling 2morrow .. is it worth attending .. do u think i will anything in ccet .. and yeah if anyone has any contact no. of chadigarh then plz give it to me .. i have no idead whether the seats are still available or not … where can i get the info .. during the first councelling the people were showing slides of seat availability and told that similar ones will be available on the internet .. but i haven’t found any !!
and one more thing guys .. i think last years admission closing rank do not consider ur qota .. i mean the ranks that goes upto 1 lakh 99 thousand can’t be of general catefory .. that too for an all india qota .. its probably the last few seats that were filled by someone belonging to chandigarh and having a qota called .. SC + physical handicapped + girl + chandigarh …
i dont feel i will get anything with a AIR rank of 79k and an all indian general category qota … plz help .. tell me should i travel 600 km to chandigarh 2morrow or not !!
