I’m from ISC board and none of my parents’ name is given on class my 10 certificate. Also, on my class 12 certificate incorrect names of my parents are given. What I would like to know is that how do IIT and AIEEE verify the name of parents at the time of counselling? I hope class 12 certificate will not play any role. I filled up the application forms using names as given on my passport. Please help. How important is this category?

    sir ,
my caste comes under obc category….
but im not sure that i would be able to produce a certificate as it is quite a hassle
as my father is in the armed forces and income might be in the 4-6 lakhs bracket .
should i fill in the obc category?
..my doubt is that during AIEEE counselling…if im unable to produce a certificate…will my allotment be cancelled…or will i be considered as GENERAL/OPEN category.
will i be given a fair chance of getting a seat as per my AIEEE AIR ………
the same goes in context with IITJEE….BITSAT…ETC
