Freeships
Candidates admitted to MBBS, BDS and BPharm courses within the first 500 ranks of the respective merit list of Manipal University are offered 100% freeships. Such freeships are limited to upto 5% of the total seats under the General category. Candidates admitted to BE Course within the first 1000 ranks of the merit list of Manipal University are offered 100% freeships . Such freeships are limited upto 5% of the total seats under general category in each branch

how many marks shud we need to get into 1000 rank with cse??
to get under 1000,u need to score around 150,n moreover u will get c.s even if yr rank is above 3000.so no worries!

@anmol :am not sure of yr all india rank,but most probably u can electrical at mit,but not mech or ece for sure!
@jasmeet:in a score of 123 u can expect a rank from 3500-4500..
u will get civil for sure n civil at manipal provides u wid a very gud faculty n career options later..u cant get ece in this score.
to get ece or mech u guys need to score 130 n 128 above respectively!
n for cse above 124 atleast(as of last year)

@jasmeet::dude! i dn know bout the avg. salary,but as far as i know d manipal wont be a problem as far as placements r concerned,u cn refer to the website http://www.manipal.edu ,n u can surely get e&E in tis rank..
n listen everyone,wat ever ranks n branch im telling is like u might not get all these branches in the first counselling,but u can waitlist in ne branch of yr choice n about 150 or more (usually)in the waitlist can get the branch they want.
i wud advice u to take civil,instead of e&e
well for all others
the best branch in manipal is mechanical,it has the best faculty,best internships,best placement records n everything.
then its e&c(though it is preferred by ppl during the counselling).
then cse,civil,e&e,it,i&c,mechatronics,automobile,chemical,i&P,aeronautical,printing.

@udit:my tip is be fast,n in the end u will be left wid some questions unanswered or unattempted,ask the invigilator if there is some negative marking,there shudnt be…n i theres not,then mark blindly or the one u find correct coz time is very less n u wnt be able to make correct decisions just by looking at them so take chances.but at the end when there r enu questions unanswered..
@ritika:last year even i was in the same dilemma,as i got into both the colleges,but atlast i chose mit coz of the following reasons,
comparing vit n mit on the basis of studies is a waste of time(almost the same)
secondly,mit gives better placements than vit.
thirdly,there r many unnecessary restriction in vellore institute of tech,manipal is strict bout discipline but doesn’t impose unjustified restrictions
fourth,manipal is a town in itself,so u get everything around here,frm daily items to accessories,to good food,actually everythin u want ,which vit lacks.

@harsha:enat is very easy,if u get above 120 u cn get a decent enuf branch,n to get mech.,ece,n cse u need to score 128+,which is easily achievable

@arushi der is no negative marking in enat..n dis is one mistake i made when i gave the enat in 2009,whr i cud have gone for fluke marking,but didnt coz i was in the same dillema.
