The application forms for Dhirubhai Ambani Institute of Information and Communication Technology(DAIICT) would be available from 18th March.DA-IICT is indeed a premium institute located in Gandhinagar and is suitable for all those who wanna pursue their carrier in IT.
The admission in the college would be on the basis of AIEEE rank so you don’t have to give a separate exam for the same.Total number of seats are 240 out of which 120 is reserved for the candidates from Gujarat.Seats reserved for candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe categories are 15% and 7.5% respectively.
Submission of Application Form
A candidate has to apply in the prescribed DA-IICT Application Form. A photocopy of the AIEEE 2009 Admit Card is also required to be attached with the completed DA-IICT Application Form and sent to the Institute in the envelope provided for the purpose. DA-IICT Application number should be written on the top right comer of the photocopy of the AIEEE admit card. The prescribed DA-IICT Application Form can be availed as under:

For admission in BITS in Integrated First Degree programmes Candidates should have passed the 12th examination of 10+2 system from a recognized Central or State board or its equivalent with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics. Further the candidate should have obtained a minimum of aggregate 80% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics subjects in 12th examination, with at least 60% marks in each of the Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics subjects and should have adequate proficiency in English.
Students who are appearing for 12th examination in 2009 or who have passed 12th Examination in 2008 only are eligible to appear in the BITSAT-2009 test. Students who have passed 12th examination in 2007 or earlier are NOT eligible to appear in BITSAT-2009. Students who are presently studying in BITS at any of its campuses are not eligible to appear in BITSAT-2009

As usual the BITSAT-2009 will be of total 3-hour duration (without break). The test consists of four parts:
Part I : Physics
Part II : Chemistry
Part III : (a) English Proficiency and (b) Logical Reasoning
Part IV : Mathematics
All questions are of objective type (MCQ’s); each question with choice of four answers, only one being correct choice. Each correct answer fetches 3 marks, while each incorrect answer has a penalty of 1 mark. No marks are awarded for not attempted questions. There will be 150 questions in all. The number of questions in each part is as follows:
Physics 40
Chemistry 40
English Proficiency 15
Logical Reasoning 10
Mathematics 45
Total: 150
If a candidate answers all the 150 questions (without skipping any question), the candidate will have an option of attempting 12 (twelve) extra questions, if there is still time left.
The BITSAT-2009 test will be conducted on the basis of NCERT syllabus for 11th and 12th class.

The candidate should be pass in 12th grade ,A Level, IB,American 12th grade or equivalent with physics,Mathematics and English with chemistry or biotechnology or computer science or biology or statistics or engineering drawing as optional subjects for admission to BE and a minimum marks of 50% in Physics,Mathematics and any one of the optional subjects.
Admissions are done on the basis of rank in all India EPSI National admission Test(ENAT 09).The test duration is of 2.30 hours and consists of 240 multiple choice questions(MCQ) of the objective type.The approximate distribution of questions is as follows: Physics- 60 questions, Chemistry- 60 questions, Mathematics- 80 questions,English & General aptitude –40 questions. Each question carries one mark and their is no negative marking and above all the score would be flashed as soon as you finish the exam.
The test is an online test that goes for about a month,where the students have to choose the date for the examination beforehand

Candidates applying for BE course and within the first 1000 ranks of the respective merit list are offered 100% freeship. Such freeships are limited and the numbers will be as decided by the University. The freeship will cover only the course fee payable for the particular course of study. The candidate will however be required to pay the registration fee and caution deposit payable at the time of admission. The freeship will not cover the expenses such as hostel accommodation, books etc.

The exam is overall simple with basic questions,the requirement is speed,I too have given the examination and my rank was 250 and my marks was 169/240.As their is no negative marking try to attempt all the questions and remain calm during the examination.Also try to take a date for the examination just after the AIEEE,it would help you a lot.

The cost of Information Bulletin inclusive of examination and counseling fee for BE/B.Tech only or B.Arch/B.Planning only is Rs. 450/- for General and OBC candidates and Rs. 225/- for SC/ST candidates. Eligibility for AIEEE 2009
The number of attempts which a candidate can avail at All India Engineering /Architecture Entrance Examination shall be limited to 03 (three) uniformly for all the candidates in consecutive years. For OBC candidates belonging to Non-creamy layer, 18% of total number of seats are reserved in each of the older IITs (Bombay, Delhi, Guwahati, Kanpur, Kharagpur, Madras and Roorkee), IT-BHU, Varanasi and ISMU, Dhanbad and 27% of total number of seats are reserved in each of the new IITs (Bhubaneswar, Gandhinagar, Hyderabad, Patna, Punjab and Rajasthan).
For candidates belonging to the SC and ST categories, respectively 15% and 7.5% of the total number of seats are reserved in each IIT, IT-BHU, Varanasi and ISMU, Dhanbad. Candidates belonging to these categories are admitted on the basis of a relaxed criterion as defined in Section 10.
For PD (including leprosy-cured) candidates, who are otherwise fit to pursue the course, and qualify JEE (with relaxed norms defined in Section 10), 3% seats are reserved as specified by the Government of India.
Two seats are available for preferential allotment of courses in each institute for children of defence/paramilitary personnel killed or permanently disabled in action during war or peace-time operations (DS category).

The information about IIT JEE 2009 has been published by the respective IIT’s.The IIT JEE for 2009 would be held for 12th April 2009.
The JEE examination would be objective type as expected and would contain 2 papers of 3 hours each Paper-1 would be held from 9 AM to 12 noon and the Paper-2 would be held from 2 PM to 5 PM.Each paper would have separate sections for Physics,Chemistry and Mathematics and would be designed to test comprehension,reasoning and analytical ability of the candidates.
Currently the syllabus has not been made available on the IIT JEE sites,so you have to wait for a little more time.
The candidates would have the option of submitting the application form both offline and online.
This year the examination would be held for 12 IIT’s,IT-BHU Varanasi and ISMU Dhandbad.
